Alex: Alex studies the brain but harbors not so very secret desires to drop out of science and open a Vegan Lunch Truck. He likes riding his bicycle, eating the batter-dregs out of the mixing bowl, and reading wikipedia.

Benny: is an aspiring social worker and an actual coffee shop worker. She loves working on bikes, but often finds it difficult to overcome the fear of irreversibly damaging her only means of transportation. She loves home-fermented goods such as pickles, sour kraut, beer, mead, anything! She loves power tools and wishes she had more opportunities to use them. She loves singing, playing games, watching "bad" movies, dancing the Thriller dance, biking, ice cream, oh my, the list goes on and on.

Chandra: Is probably in New Orleans as you read this, which is the city where she left her heart. She could also be in Minnesota, the state where she left her parents. Or maybe she's back at Millstone, the house where the people who know her best live with her bicycle and many foods labeled with masking tape and sharpie.

Daniel: According to those who know him best Daniel is a hippie at heart. He loves learning, puns, sarcasm and cheesiness. He also loves cheese, A LOT, and all things Vermont, his home State. Daniel recently returned to the Northeast after school in Florida and couldn't be happier! An active guy and he loves soccer, swimming, biking, hiking... ok, basically anything outdoors! Daniel, aka The Baker, bakes a mean loaf of bread, enjoys reading mediocre fantasy fiction and is a music buff. Traveling keeps him sane and being passionate keeps him happy. It’s said you can hear his laugh for miles (for which he does not apologize).

Gil: By the time you read this, Gil will probably no longer be living here. But his time at Millstone was filled with joy, laughter, conflict and its healthy resolution (at least in my opinion--check with other housemates for their perspective!), intense community, rare opportunities for learning about the human condition, amazing food, and cooperative eradication of world-threatening diseases. In addition to Millstone, Gil loves his wife Anna, his daughter Kaiya (the first and so far only human ever born at Millstone), the Hebrew Bible, contra dancing, and other physical activities.

Hope: Wonder woman.

Joe: Joe moved from Seattle to Boston in 2006 to be someplace with more snow and cooler architecture. He is a full-time graduate student, part-time horticulture geek. He loves mogul skiing, rollerblading, severe weather, contradancing, ice cream, and a good, often Monty-Python-inspired laugh. If you were a fly on a wall, you would see him playing mandolin, watching the Red Sox at Mike's, learning Arabic, or planning his next trip somewhere where noone speaks English.

Jon: What a guy...

Kaiya: Burp. Poop. Smile. Not really a member, but close enough!

Lauren: How did we get so lucky...

Marcelo: Here he is, folks!

Mary: Live in person.

Viki: One word: extraordinary.
